TWolves Blog is independent Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx coverage. This page lays out how we work, what you can hold us to, and what to do when we get something wrong.

Independence

No corporate parent sets our coverage, and no advertiser buys their way into it. What we publish about the team, the front office, and ownership is our own call. When we're critical, it's because the story earned it; when we're enthusiastic, that's ours too.

Sourcing and verification

Every factual claim we make should be traceable. We link to a primary source — a box score, an official announcement, a beat reporter's on-the-record report — wherever one exists, and we verify before we publish rather than after. We don't launder rumor as fact: if something is reported, we say who reported it; if it's speculation, we say so plainly.

Statistics are checked against official records. When sources disagree on a number, we either resolve the discrepancy or leave the number out. We would rather say less than say something we can't stand behind.

Human oversight

Nothing reaches this site without a person reading it and signing off. Our previews, recaps, analysis, and briefs go through editorial review for accuracy, fairness, and voice before they publish. The standard is simple: if it carries a TWolves Blog byline, a human editor stands behind it.

Opinion and analysis

A lot of what we publish is opinion — that's the job of a team site. We label analysis as analysis and keep it grounded in evidence you can check. Reasonable people disagree about basketball, loudly, and we think that's the point.

Corrections

We make mistakes, and when we do we fix them in the open — quickly, visibly, and without burying it. If you've spotted an error, tell us. See our Corrections page for how we handle them and how to flag one.

The comments

Our comments section is central to what this site is. It's lightly moderated to keep it a place worth being: be funny, be sharp, be wrong loudly and own it — but bigotry and targeted harassment get removed. The full community standards live alongside the comments themselves.
